We have tried several dishes from Kitchen City, some of them we have been ordering for multiple occasions already. We would then breakdown these dishes and check out how did it fare and how delicious it was for us. If you are looking for a guide on which dish to order in Kitchen City or if a dish you are eyeing to try would taste, check out the following dishes:

Laing with Crispy Pork Toppings

Laing is a traditional Filipino dish made from dried (and crushed) Taro Leaves with Coconut milk as its base sauce. Its original version is on a very spicy side and the coconut milk’s taste is very prominent. Kitchen City’s version is has a mild spice, which is great as some people don’t like too much spice and this dish being mass produced and without a chance to be customized for a particular customer, it is good to have this dish medium spiced for good measure. Another twist on their Laing food version is that they have put in sprinkles of crispy pork for more variety of texture as you enjoy munching this in great combination with a warm cup of rice.

KC Signature Beef Caldereta

A dish name that has a term “signature” in it must have something special. This Beef Caldereta version of Kitchen City is indeed special as it has its distinct characteristics and one of them is the very minimal natural oil residue of the Beef. Despite being delivered frozen, the grease is not so evident from the dish and after reheating it, there’s little to none of it. The Beef chunks are tender enough for small chews and the over-all taste is very much nostalgic and homey. Definitely a must-try from Kitchen City’s large variety of dish offerings.

Roast Beef with Mushroom Gravy & Rosemary Marble Potato

This is another dish that is complicated enough for any customer to be satisfied. For one, the Beef meat has to be tender enough to avoid chewiness. This version from Kitchen City is an epitome of great food preparation. All the meat from the pack we ordered are all tender and this shows the consistency of their preparation. The mushroom gravy is perfect as it has enough creaminess to fully enjoy the food all throughout. A little drawback is that the marbled potatoes are not enough – simply because it was so good too.

KC Signature Hawaiian Baby Back Ribs

This is another signature dish from Kitchen City and expectations are already high because of that. Though this will not be your fall-off-the-bone experience, it did make up for the sauce as it was probably marinated for a good amount of time because you can still taste it as you much along the inner parts of the ribs. If in any consolation, the meat is tender and juicy too.

KC Signature Seafood Kare-Kare

Another signature dish but this one could really be a signature dish rather than a version of an existing dish available in the market. Not too many Kare-Kare dishes available are made from seafood, and this version from Kitchen City used not one, not two, but three types of seafood. This version has fish fillet, squid, and shrimp. The mix of these three seafood resulted in a distinct taste on this Kare-Kare dish. The peanut sauce is something that you would want to try as it is perfect from the quality bagoong they also provide for your every order.

Pork Sisig

Pork Sisig has earned the reputation of being a staple Filipino food ever since it has gained traction of popularity many years back despite hailing from the arguably the culinary capital of the country, Pampanga. And through that popularity, the Pork Sisig dish produced a wide range of versions that may or may not give due to credit to the original. This Kitchen City version is near the original, but with a spicier and saltier take. It really was intended for long standing dish that can be kept on a fridge for so long and enjoy in the coming days. Perfect for fried rice and can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
