If there’s one thing to enjoy in the island of Boracay aside from the beach, it is to enjoy a vast range of food choices as well. Of all the food places around the island, we seemed to be reeled into this restaurant called Subo Boracay, and we’re glad to gave in as this will be evident here on this food review.

Subo Boracay offers countrywide local flavors and provide an interesting twist on it. As we see initially on the menu, they are interesting enough for us to indulge. They were very evident here on our choices here in the food review.

Pork Sinigang

If you’re used to the commercial Tamarind / Sinigang Mix for this dish’s soup, the traditional taste of natural tamarind, then this version from Subo will give you a new perspective (or nostalgia for some). The taste is indescribable and much better to try. The serving of the vegetables gives a unique taste too as it’s not soaked into the soup.

Pork meat is not actually the star of this dish and just an icing on the cake. Overall, a rewarding experience indeed.

Uncle’s Dumplings

A unique mix and unique arrangment too. This is a fusion food that makes an interesting take on such dishes. The prawn is big enough for large bite, while the pork dumplling is uniquely prepared with an interesting experience.

Pork and Squid BBQ

Kind of like a surf and turf feel for this dish. The presentation was nice and enticing enough. Our most favorite here is the pork due to its tenderness and the juiciness on each bite.

Indeed our visit at Subo Boracay was an experience for the books. If you are not yet sure of what’s to come in this quaint restaurant, hop on an adventure when you have a chance to visit the Island and check this restaurant out.
