Not Your Usual Food Review: Kiapo

After a run at Okada Manila‘s slot machines or even on blackjack tables, one cannot help but be famished and desire for something to eat nice afterwards. Good thing Kiapo Restaurant is just around the corner ready to meet those needs.

Right after our stroll around Okada Manila‘s Casino and a wide variety of boutiques and shops, we ended up getting more interested in trying out their in-house restaurant this time. Kiapo Restaurant offers the traditional Filipino favorites and then some. We tried some of their dishes and will be featuring them in this food review.

Seafood Sinigang

The soup’s sourness is well on-point that the kids and adults loved it. The shrimps are large enough for a good bite while the Bangus (Milkfish) strips complemented well on the over-all taste of the dish. Very enjoyable dish as it should be for all soup dishes.

Pork Sisig

While this isn’t the traditional Sisig (Pork face and innards), this sure can pack a good punch of tastefulness as well. This is the all-meat version but each bite has both the crunch and the lovely taste that you keep on going back for more.

Lumpiang Shanghai

While most Lumpiang Shanghai dishes are best eaten fresh from deep frying, Kiapo’s version still is good despite being served minutes afterwards. Still crunchy and tasty on each bite up until the last piece.
