Not Your Usual Food Review: The Reef Restaurant

We recently had the chance to have a short break and checked-in at Camayan Beach Resort and had a wonderful time. We also had the chance to try some of their dishes at their in-house restaurant called The Reef Restaurant. We will be featuring them in this food review.

The Reef Restaurant has a wide range of cuisines to choose from and it’s fully understandable as it caters to the hotel’s visitors and those who checked in at Camayan Beach Resort. They cater Asian, Western, and of course Filipino dishes. The ones we have tried are mostly Filipino dishes and we will featured them in this food review.

Chicken Barbecue

It’s prepared just when you ordered as it is evident on the juiciness of the chicken meat which you will recognize on some other versions where it is already pre-cooked. This one’s really hot straight from the grill which has given out the best taste possible. Truly one of our favorites in this food review.

Pork Sinigang

A usual favorite by the kids because of the soup taste, this version by The Reef Restaurant inside Camayan Beach Resort is truly a favorite as well kids and adults alike. The soup will make your feel warm because of its perfect mix of sour and a bit salty mix of broth. The pork meat’s tenderness is also on point.

Pork Sisig

Who doesn’t want to try out a Sisig dish on any restaurant to be used as ulam or pulutan? Well The Reef Restaurant has their version and we didn’t hesitate to try out for our own curiosity!

Each meat (whether innard or actual pork meat) is tender and its sticky texture is indeed a enjoyable feeling.

Lumpiang Shanghai

Another darling of the crowd, we couldn’t resist not to feature their version of Lumpiang Shanghai in this food review. True enough, the crunchiness is still on point despite not eating them minutes after it was served (well, we were so busy on the Chicken BBQ and Pork Sinigang that’s why we overlooked!).

Despite all that, this version from Camayan Beach Resort‘s The Reef Restaurant is still an enjoyable one.
