In the food business, there are a lot of factors why some are thriving, while some are not. Some food shops are always packed with customers and seemed to don’t know why, while some don’t even have customers but they serve great and tasty food. In this edition, we will be featuring one of the lesser known restaurant, a budget meal food kiosk, and a well-established restaurant.
We will score each dish with the following levels:
And from these scores, they are based on the following criteria:
Let’s go on with the dishes…
Location: Juansilog
Food: Tapsilog
Sides: None
Drink: None
Decent for its price
Summary:
An economical dish fit for students, people on the go, and plainly just want to do carbo-charging, this dish is all filling but with acceptable taste. You can expect a typical street food feel on this dish which is OK and could well be acceptable to try multiple times.
Verdict:
Location: Saibachi
Food: Gyudon
Sides: None
Drink: Lychee juice
Worth a try!!!
Summary:
Before the Korean Food invasion, Japanese-themed restaurant started sprouting like mushrooms a while back. Some have moved on and some still stands. Saibachi is one that has kept standing even if they are not considered as an authentic one. Going back to the dish, their version of Gyudon is anything but short of expectations – the sauce is almost very near the authentic taste even the rice used is very comparable. Just don’t mind the occasional chewy beefy strips, this can be a very good option for an economical satisfaction of Jap food craving.
Verdict:
Location: Nathaniel’s Bakeshop
Food: BBQ Porkchop Rice Meal
Sides: Buttered Vegetables
Drink: None
Very tender and a little bit juicy and more!
Summary:
With a strong reputation of great food most particularly desserts and pastries, Nathaniel’s is still considered for a good option for dining in, and we’re quite curious to check it out. With their BBQ Pork Chop Rice meal, it can be regarded as one for the usual Filipino dish in which you can be able to try at any given day. The BBQ sauce is already dipped around the meat during grilling, but if you still need more, a cup full of sauce will be served for you to use when needed. The tenderness of the meat is exceptional too.
Verdict:
Our main aim is to try out as much food shops / restaurants as we can. Whether they are lesser known or popular, we will be glad to try them out and feature them for you to see. So let’s go out and try something new in terms of the food.
Happy food adventures!
