Not Your Usual Food Reviews: Ube by Cheese Pandesal

The current situation we are all in also has a silver lining (or some) – creating new food fusion and developing new food crazes. Ube Cheese pandesal is one of them and a lot of bakeries and food shops are joining in the bandwagon and serve their own versions of this newest food craze in town. Paying homage to the first bakeshop who served this great bread, a lot of them followed suit with the aim to keep up with the original or try to enhance it. One of them is Ube by Cheese Pandesal.

While the name seems a bit off, when you read it twice, it really is clever. The fact that you ended up reading it twice makes the intended engagement of the brand successful. But in terms of what they can offer, will they be able to keep up with that clever engagement strategy? Let’s find out more.

The Food

1.Milky Cheesy Donut

Kids-approved taste

First up is the milky cheesy Donut. It was probably shaped that way to have some kind of cheese Donut twist when compared to the ordinary. But whatever the reason may be, it actually looks enticing. The taste is reminiscent of Dunkin’ Donut flavor but with a cheesy filling. It was so good that apart from one piece tasted, all the others were eaten and finished off by two kids within minutes.

  • Dulce De Leche Pandesal

This is their version of another popular pastry nowadays and it seems they did a great job out of it. The filling in the middle as you munch along will give you satisfaction further and further. And if you do like sweetness on a higher level, then this one’s definitely for you.

  • Salted Egg Pandesal

Who says you can’t put salted egg inside a pandesal? Well this one’s definitely a winner! All things with salted egg in one way or the other is definitely great, and this is one of them. The salted egg cream is stuffed inside maybe new but it is definitely a welcome addition to a new version of pastries.

  • Ube Cheese Pandesal

And now we’re down to the last one, the Ube cheese pandesal. We don’t have much to say about this one but what we can say is that all the mixes are well balanced. The cheesiness though has evidence of not putting ingredients in moderation. Reheating it is awesome too as it still tastes almost the same as freshly baked.
