We seem to can’t get enough of what Kitchen City has to offer so we kept on ordering more from them and tried out out their other variants. As usual, it is not disappointing us so far and we’re happy to come back again to make another round of reviews of more dishes.
As mentioned in the last Kitchen City Frozen Meals review, the meals are delivered as expected – still frozen and can be either readily re-heated or returned back to the freezer. All in all, it was a seamless ordering and delivery transaction as always and has been compared to previous transactions with them. So we’re not going to elaborate on that further and move directly to the dishes.
In this batch, we are going to review the following:
- Adobong Pato (Duck)
- Giant Chicken Meat Balls
- Beef Caldereta (KC Signature)
- Fish Fillet with Ginger Soy Sauce
- Beef Salpicao
Most of the these are not the usual dishes that you would find on your nearby cafeteria or canteen and it seems like a challenge for Kitchen City to pull this one off specially they are sold as frozen food. Seems interesting? Let’s find out how these dishes are and would be worthy as your next order in Kitchen City.
The Dishes
Adobong Pato (Duck)
Though Pato (duck) looks similar to chicken specifically when cooked but the manner of preparing it would be a little bit different. Duck meat is more firm and needs more tenderizing and the version of Kitchen are all but firm. The tenderness is decent enough for normal chews and the adobo mix is on the spicy side due to its good amount of pepper.

Giant Chicken Meat Balls
Regarded as the best seller for children, these Chicken Meat Balls is surely a treat. Indeed a great size and a great sweet and sour sauce that comes a long with it. The meat ball as Chicken is something that you would have to try though.

KC Signature Beef Caldereta
As one of their signature dishes, you would have to have some sort of expectation prior to trying out this dish. And yet they keep on meeting expectations. The tenderness of the Beef are superb while the Caldereta has that distinct taste fit for a signature dish but without going away from the original taste of the dish. And didn’t we say it has more meat than it has vegetables? Yes, you’d definitely love this!

Fish Fillet with Ginger Soy Sauce
One of the dishes featured here that are not usually found on a cafeteria and rather probably on a restaurant, we were not expecting it to be spectacular. And yet again, Kitchen City disappointed our expectations as they have exceeded them. The fish fillet is almost a melt-in-your-mouth experience and the ginger sauce is reminiscent of a Chinese themed sauce that you will surely love.

Beef Salpicao
Beef is a kind of meat that will have a challenge in making it tender. In this dish from Kitchen City, the tenderness of the Beef was brilliantly achieved and the combined with the sweet taste of the sauce, it will be an enjoyable dish indeed.

Well, Kitchen City has done it again. The dishes we featured here are all enjoyable and you will definitely won’t get disappointed in trying them out. And you won’t even know they’re frozen when they’re served after reheating!
